This role is responsible for driving front end sales for large and strategic mining projects, positioning ABB as a full-scope solution provider across the mining value chain. The work model for the role is hybrid and contributes to AUPI in Switzerland.

Tasks

  • Driving the sales of strategic mining projects, positioning ABB as a global solution provider.
  • Promoting and selling the full ABB portfolio for mining, including high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage, variable frequency drives, electrification, automation and digital solutions, with an additional focus on the grinding portfolio, including GMDs, RMDs and related applications.
  • Leading front-end sales activities for large, international mining opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Managing capture teams and coordinating multinational and cross-functional resources towards a winning strategy.
  • Developing and executing account and opportunity strategies in close collaboration with account managers, OEMs, EPCMs and local ABB units.
  • Ensuring ABB’s value proposition is clearly communicated and professionally presented to customers and stakeholders.
  • Leading strategic discussions related to scope allocation and division of responsibilities between global and local units.
  • Building, qualifying and developing a strong pipeline of mining opportunities to support sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the mining industry or similar, with a strong track record in sales or execution of complex industrial solutions.
  • Proven front-end sales leadership with capture team ownership in large strategic mining projects.
  • Specialist expertise in electrification, variable frequency drives, gearless drive systems and multi-megawatt power solutions.
  • Experience with multi-megawatt drive systems; account strategy with EPCMs and OEMs.
  • Process-level understanding as mine owner's representative.
  • Established relationships with major mining accounts, major mine operators and EPCMs; technical authority in the market.
  • Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Proven capture team leadership across 15+ countries.
  • Solid writing and speaking skills in English and Spanish.
