Tasks

  • Develop and continuously improve the internal developer portal based on Backstage.
  • Create application skeletons and templates to enable development teams to start new applications efficiently.
  • Build developer-facing tools and workflows using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web technologies.
  • Integrate existing application stacks, particularly in Java and/or C# environments.
  • Develop and maintain tailor-made GitHub Actions for the CI/CD environment and automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering, DevOps, and platform teams, supporting them with questions related to platforms, tooling, and software delivery.
  • Monitor the developer experience continuously and implement improvements where needed.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in software engineering with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Practical enterprise experience with Java or C#.
  • Several years of hands-on software engineering experience and ability to design pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
  • Ideally, experience with developer platforms, Backstage, or similar portal and platform concepts.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD concepts, and DevOps principles.
  • Enjoy working across teams.
  • English skills at level B2 and good knowledge of at least one Swiss national language.
