The Partnerships Development team at Google is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with partners, helping them grow using Google's latest product offerings. Google is investing in building a world-leading payments platform through strong ecosystem partnerships, working closely with Product and top partners to develop engaging commerce experiences globally. The Payments Partnerships team helps lead, manage, and grow strategic partnerships, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Product Development, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Marketing, and Legal.

Tasks

  • Own and drive the final, highly complex contract negotiations and signature process with one of the top transit partners in France, aiming for a successful contract closing.
  • Coordinate post-launch activities cross-functionally with Marketing and PR teams to define and execute the launch communication plan, ensuring a seamless rollout.
  • Act as the strategic lead for the IDFM initiative through its final lifecycle phases, managing risk and aligning internal and external stakeholders to meet strict project timelines.
  • Partner with the rest of the BD team to support high-stakes negotiations, deepen senior bank relationships, and drive card portfolio launches on Google Wallet.
  • Partner with the rest of the BD team to manage key Google Pay Online API accounts (focusing on flagship Transit partners) and execute commercial campaigns to accelerate adoption and transaction volume.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, in the payments, e-commerce/retail, technology industries on EMEA market.
  • Experience in signing and negotiating agreements, business development, partner management, or product management in an internet or technology environment.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with local and international stakeholders.
  • Master's degree or other advanced degree (preferred).
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships (preferred).
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment (preferred).
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills (preferred).
