As a member of the Lead Architects team within global IT Architecture, you collaborate with colleagues from Foundation and System Architecture teams to develop the application landscape for the future. As Lead Architect for Order Management, you bridge business and IT, ensuring alignment from a medium to long-term perspective.

Tasks

  • Take responsibility for the Order Management domain using a divide & conquer approach.
  • Manage the Order Management architecture board and the architectural runway.
  • Be accountable for architecture decisions within your domain and escalate overarching decisions to higher architecture boards.
  • Ensure architecture standards are followed within your domain.
  • Define target architectures to plan the medium to long-term evolution of your domain across Business, Application, Data, and Technology layers.
  • Harmonise target architectures with business stakeholders and across domains.
  • Ensure target architectures are technically and economically feasible.
  • Orchestrate system architects for the implementation of target architectures.
  • Review architecture artefacts such as Solution Blueprints.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Architect with architecture responsibilities, e.g., Lead / Domain / Enterprise Architect in a larger organisation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in banking trading / order management.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to enable solutions.
  • Affinity for following and identifying new technology trends and integrating them into the company.
  • Ability to convince business and IT stakeholders with strategic, solution-oriented thinking and diplomatic behaviour.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, e.g., from ETH or a Technical University.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • Basic German skills.
  • Understanding of order lifecycle and integration into internal end-to-end processes.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to analyse complex topics.
  • Proven expertise in the design and evaluation of architectural decisions, considering architectural guidelines and economic aspects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills.
  • Hands-on experience in software engineering and design of software architectures.
  • Optional: Hands-on experience with IBM OTMS.
  • Optional: Certification of TOGAF or SAFe.
