The GMS department deals with all aspects of mobility including tax compliance and advisory, providing support to clients' HR and Tax teams.

Tasks

  • Prepare and/or review Swiss tax returns with international exposure, tax equalization calculations, and tax projections for individuals.
  • Prepare and review correspondence with tax authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for individuals/expatriates.
  • Support the team in advising clients on a wide range of Swiss tax issues including tax residence matters, cross-border tax implications, social security matters, taxable benefits, and tax reconciliation processes.
  • Support in discussions and negotiations with tax authorities regarding tax rulings, tax appeals, and complex tax situations.
  • Communicate with individual taxpayers and other KPMG offices.
  • Take part in the preparation of engagement letters, offers to clients, and invoicing clients.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong interest in taxation and ideally initial experience in Swiss individual taxation, gained within a Big Four firm or a fiduciary company in Switzerland.
  • An innovative and proactive mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, embrace challenges, and contribute to a leading global mobility team.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service, combined with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong numerical aptitude are essential.
  • Demonstrated team spirit and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Fluent in both French and English; proficiency in an additional language would be considered a strong asset.
