Your tasks

  • Take ownership of system-level control design, including design, simulation, and validation
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, experts, and customers
  • Design, implement, and maintain model-based plant or system models and Model-in-the-Loop simulation environments
  • Test, analyze, and validate control functions systematically
  • Perform evidence-based trade-off analyses to optimize technical solutions
  • Support application engineers during commissioning at test benches and in real-world field applications
  • Define system-level control specifications, including failure mode analysis, safety, and cybersecurity
  • Analyze and document dynamic behavior and interactions of engine control system elements
  • Design, develop, and maintain engine control system architectures for hardware, software, and services
  • Work with project management and development teams to integrate new functions and improve engineering methods

What you bring

  • Completed engineering studies in automotive, powertrain, mechanical, mechatronics, electronics engineering, or similar fields
  • Experience in combustion engine control system development, including multi-physics modeling; engine calibration experience is a plus
  • Skilled in Matlab/Simulink and embedded software engineering
  • Strong in model-based systems engineering and signal processing
  • Familiar with ALM/PLM and requirements authoring tools, and MBSE environments like System Composer, Cameo, or Rhapsody
  • Analytical mindset, high learnability, agile methods, and strong teamwork skills
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally
  • Fluent in English
