As a Packaging Development Intern at Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) in Orbe, Switzerland, your mission is to support the development and industrialization of innovative packaging solutions for the Nescafé Dolce Gusto business. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in packaging development while contributing to projects that improve sustainability, performance, and cost efficiency. You will collaborate closely with packaging experts, project managers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
Tasks
- Support the industrialization and evaluation of new packaging materials for strategic Nescafé Dolce Gusto projects.
- Participate in laboratory activities, pilot line trials, and packaging testing to validate technical solutions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to assess packaging performance and support implementation activities.
- Lead or contribute to technical discussions with suppliers and prepare test reports and project presentations.
- Support projects focused on material optimization, sustainability, and cost reduction to drive packaging innovation.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or currently completing a Master's degree in Packaging, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of polymer materials and sealing technologies, with a genuine interest in packaging development and industrialization.
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail and systems thinking.
- Knowledge of SPSS software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
- Proactive, agile and independent mindset with a willingness to learn and collaborate on projects.
- Fluent English (written & spoken).
