As a Senior Technician in Micronutrients and Phytochemicals Analytics at Nestlé Research, your mission is to provide high-quality analytical support that helps research and operations teams make confident, science-based decisions. You will collaborate closely with scientists, analytical experts, technical teams and partners across Nestlé Research, turning ideas into sustainable and innovative solutions for people, pets, and the planet.

Tasks

  • Deliver reliable analytical data that supports research, product quality and operational decisions.
  • Develop and apply sample preparation methods within projects, including approaches for allergens, microparticles, micronutrients and phytochemicals analysis as well as spectroscopic measurements.
  • Operate and maintain advanced analytical equipment to ensure robust, timely and high-quality results.
  • Evaluate analytical outcomes critically and turn results into clear insights for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to method development and provide technical assistance to markets, including analytical support for allergen-related topics where the role may require handling or being in direct contact with allergenic food materials.
  • Support project teams with technical assistance, sample preparation for trace analysis and analytical interpretation to ensure robust delivery of project objectives.
  • Share expertise with colleagues, apprentices and students to build capability across analytical activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, CFC or equivalent qualification in analytical chemistry or a related field, with solid experience in sample preparation gained in industry or academia.
  • Hands-on knowledge of allergen analysis and comfort working in a laboratory environment where allergenic food materials may be handled, prepared or analyzed, with potential direct contact as part of the role.
  • Knowledge of spectroscopic measurements such as infrared, Raman or X-ray fluorescence, ideally including microparticle analysis.
  • Knowledge in trace analysis and liquid chromatography is a plus.
  • Use of good laboratory practices, quality and safety standards to deliver accurate, compliant and trusted results.
  • Ability to collaborate with curiosity, analytical rigor and a solution-oriented mindset in diverse technical teams.
  • Confident communication in English and French.
