The Tax Operations Department in Geneva serves as the Group’s centre of expertise for operational tax, providing private clients with comprehensive tax reporting and ensuring compliance with global tax regulations. This temporary position supports the Tax Operations Advisory team, which identifies relevant tax rules, assists internal teams with implementation, and provides ongoing regulatory monitoring across all Tax Operations activities.
Tasks
- Provide expertise on all operational processes related to withholding tax and payments on accounts, tax declaration to authorities, and tax reporting for Spanish clients.
- Provide expertise on tax reporting for Belgian clients.
- Oversee and perform controls on tax reporting production activities, issue recommendations, and ensure their follow-up and implementation.
- Ensure tax rules are correctly applied within the operational setup.
- Monitor developments in tax law and regulations and assess their impact on tax services and reporting.
- Take an active role in transformation initiatives leveraging AI.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics or law, or equivalent professional background.
- At least 5 years in a similar tax role, ideally with audit experience.
- Strong expertise in Spanish tax reporting for individuals and companies.
- Deep knowledge of complex financial products (private assets, derivatives, structured products) from a tax perspective, and experience with their operational setup in banking systems.
- Ability to translate legal texts into practical operational requirements.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team, under time pressure and with high accuracy.
- Fluency in English and a working knowledge of Spanish are required; French is an asset.
- Tech‑savvy and comfortable working with AI tools and data.
- Must be resident in Switzerland.
