Join Roche in Kaiseraugst as a Global Clinical Artwork Manager Intern, supporting the creation and management of clinical labels for Investigational Medicinal Products. Tasks

  • Create and revise labeling artwork for Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) and ensure label contents meet all medical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the clinical label life cycle for various label types, such as booklet labels, single panel labels, shelf-life extension labels, and new or unique labels.
  • Represent the label team in cross-functional and production meetings and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal functional group members and external suppliers to provide labeling solutions for domestic and global clinical trials.
  • Actively participate in global and local projects and kaizens to optimize Clinical Supply, and in some cases, lead projects to improve label processes and systems.
  • Communicate timelines and provide project updates to customers, global manufacturing sites, and internal and external business partners.
  • Drive and lead issue resolution in the label creation process with the label print room, external vendors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive the label approval process, ensuring timely content approval by all Label Representatives.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to the labeling process, quality, systems, and policies using Lean Production System (LPS) principles.
  • Develop expert-level skills in applicable software used for label creation (e.g., SAP Global Label Management).
  • Maintain label master data in the appropriate systems.
  • Order labels from vendors and monitor order status and availability.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team performance, vendors, and in-house label printing activities, and initiate continuous improvements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) SPOC: drive monthly performance review meetings with external booklet vendors, ensure continuous improvement of processes and performance, participate in Service Level Agreement adaptations, and act as main contact for general questions from booklet vendors related to Roche label creation activities.
  • Support the New Capabilities Team in developing new label capabilities and emerging label technologies, including coordination of development and testing with external vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Artificial Intelligence Community of Practice to bring AI use cases to life.
  • Additional accountabilities and responsibilities as per assignment.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled or have completed your studies at a university or technical college, preferably in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or Supply Chain Management, within the last 12 months.
  • Interested in a 12-month internship in a modern working environment and in getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Solid understanding of the Pharma Supply Chain and clinical packaging processes.
  • High cultural awareness and social competence, as cooperation and communication in complex situations with different cultures and countries is part of the daily job.
  • Well-developed teamwork, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, high attention to detail, and understanding of systems and technical designs.
  • Full use and application of basic Supply Chain/Business Process/cGMP theories, principles, and techniques.
  • Ability to adhere to procedures and standards in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to manage projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, quick thinking, and adaptable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and verbally (Excellent English skills).
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to create trustful relationships with business partners.
  • Ability to quickly learn a broad range of skills.
  • Preferred: 1+ years experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical industry and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP ERP systems beneficial.

As part of PTDS Global Clinical Supply Chain Management, the Production Enablement function ensures seamless, on-time, and cost/quality-optimized packaging operations for Roche’s clinical trials. The team collaborates globally with Clinical Planning, manufacturing execution teams, external vendors, Local Label Representatives, and the Quality organization.
