Tasks
- Drive the development of vascularized iPSC-derived kidney organoids, focusing on tissue specification and maturation.
- Develop and optimize engineered culture systems to enable vascular perfusion and promote kidney organoid maturation.
- Work closely with stem cell biologists to dissect nephron maturation and cell–cell communication.
- Translate biological insights into functional, predictive models relevant for human kidney safety.
Requirements
- PhD with a strong track record in iPSC-derived 3D tissue models or organoids.
- Doctoral studies completed within the last three years prior to the start date.
- Scientifically ambitious, with the ability to drive new concepts rather than follow established protocols.
- Experience in bioengineering and/or microfluidics is desirable.
- Ideally with a strong background in developmental biology, with expertise in kidney, vascular, or related organ systems.
