Tasks

  • Drive the implementation of alternative analytical techniques for process analysis and control.
  • Develop PAT applications along the new AI pipeline from lab to pilot scale and introduce them into first manufacturing.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing sites, with activities extending into formulation manufacturing.
  • Lead local PAT activities and coordinate the local PAT team.
  • Define, develop, and continuously improve local PAT capabilities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply PAT techniques across manufacturing processes.
  • Act as the point of contact with Swiss manufacturing sites.
  • Shape the future direction of PAT and contribute to the global PAT strategy.
  • Connect with and influence stakeholders within the department, at site level, and across wider functions.

Requirements

  • Academic qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Science, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on PAT-relevant techniques and concepts.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) or a closely related field.
  • Ability to maintain a broad overview of PAT-related topics while actively acquiring and updating knowledge across all relevant areas.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing environments, analytical techniques, and Quality Control (QC).
  • Proficient knowledge across the scientific disciplines relevant to PAT.
  • Strong project-management skills to plan, prioritise, and deliver activities effectively.
  • Ability to build productive partnerships and influence stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • Innovative mindset and willingness to seek opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; German is an advantage.
